ELIGIBILITY AND HOW TO APPLY

HOW ARE SCHOOLS CHOSEN TO ATTEND?

The David Beckham Academy works closely with the Youth Sport Trust and the majority of all our school visits are allocated via the School Sports Partnership Network.

Each partnership within London and the South East Region will receive an allocation of days to bring a selection of their schools in for a school day visit. Each Partnership will receive an allocation of day's between January 2006 - December 2008 based on the total number of schools within their partnership.

Any school who wishes to attend from within London or the South East region must therefore contact their Partnership Development Manager (PDM) and request to be included within their allocation of school day visits. (Unfortunately, visits cannot be set up directly with The David Beckham Academy).

We do, however, offer a limited number of Long Distance days each year for schools from other regions to apply to attend. These dates are allocated on a first come-first served basis and enable schools to bring a group of 30 students of a specific year group to visit on an allocated day. Schools attending a Long Distance day are required to make their own transport arrangements in order to attend. (All visits are free of charge with the exception of any transport costs incurred in the visit) For a list of available Long Distance days, please email Tessa Payne at the email address below.
