The School Zone offers an extensive range of resources for football and health and fitness to support your teaching for 7–14 year olds.
Developed by the David Beckham Academy Coaches, this section offers a range of easy to use football training materials for teachers with or without football experience.
Diagrams for each practice can be used on interactive whiteboards as an easy way to explain games to your students. All resources are also available
as printable PDFs for you to take out onto the pitch.
The Football Bank of Games offers a range of skill sets (e.g. passing or shooting) organised by year groups. Each skill set follows a clearly structured progression:
- Warm ups
- Unopposed practice
- Opposed practice
- Small sided game
Detailed introductory notes and game plans for each skill set guide teachers through the lesson but leave enough flexibility for more experienced practitioners to adapt the materials to their own needs.
Each game plan includes:
- Diagrams for each stage of the game
- Game set up
- Detailed game description
- Equipment
- Differentiation
- Assessment
- Top tips
